Fossils

These fossils were completed by second grade students. This is the second year we have done this assignment since it was introduced to me from another great art teacher. First students were given a ball of clay to roll into a slab. Students then used sea shells, plastic dinosaurs, and stamps to create impressions within the clay. Once the clay dried it was fired in the kiln and then painted with acrylic paints.
