Spider Webs

First grade created these spider webs after reading "The Spider and The Fly." We focused on line and first began drawing with pencil. Next we traced our lines with glue. Lastly, the students colored with chalk pastels and they were encouraged to color with analogous colors.

Coffee Painted Houses

I found coffee paintings and just had to try them with the students. First studetns viewed a variety of houses. We then began drawing a haunted house trying to not add any visual aids that would reference Halloween. However, fall items were ok. Lastly we used instant coffee to make different values of brown and began painting. The students loved doing this assignment!

Camouflaged Animals

Fourth grade students have been working hard on their camouflaged animals. Students first had to select an animal that used at least one of the four types of camouflage 1.concealing coloration 2. disruptive coloration 3.Disguise 4.Mimicry. Students then drew and painted their animals/backgrounds and put each together as one to complete their assignmnent.
