Starry Nights

Third grade students have been learning about Van Gogh and his art work. Some of his most recognizable paintings are his versions of the "Starry Night." Students were then guided along as they created their own interpretations using oil pastels.

  1. Hi--I teach art in Vermont and stumbled onto your sight while looking at random art sites. These little van gough landscapes are adorable. I love the rainbow sky.

  2. Thank you so much! My students seem to always love this project and they are so successful with it! When it comes to color they used their own ideas and I just love to see what they come up with!
