Each year I am looking for a recycled art lesson for my 5th and 6th grade students. I came across this artist and just had to try it. Students first thought of a title or theme to help guide their color choices and then we began cleaning out the closet. Within the art work you can find fabric, burlap, felt, paper, plastic, rope, yarn etc. These are wonderful in person and the textures are very beautiful! Would definitely do this one again!
Welcome
Please enjoy the art work completed by students in Kindergarten through sixth grade.

Non-Objective Art
I found this lesson on The Incredible Art Department
http://www.princetonol.com/groups/iad/lessons/middle/Linda-cutpainting.htm
This had many steps but the students seemed to really enjoy the freedom of this assignment! Would definitely try it again.
